Position Description

CGI's Utilities Practice is experiencing significant growth requiring us to continue to build our leadership Team.

We have an immediate need for a Director level Subject Matter Expert in the Utilities space to assist us in building our electric utilities business and expertise.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As our utilities Subject Matter Expert in the Ontario market, you will be primarily focused on Electricity Distribution Companies and their requirements for Smart Grid Technologies.

This Director level function would be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and monitoring the activities of multiple opportunities and RFP responses. You'd provide consulting services to clients in a specific domain of expertise e.g. smart metering, GIS, OMS, and / or CIS.

This is a client facing role and the candidate is expected to be within commuting distance of Markham, Ontario.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Our ideal Candidates will be able to:

•Provide industry / subject matter expertise and written / verbal content to the sales strategy / targets and proposals
•Present proposed solutions to prospective and existing clients
•Identify target sales opportunities, engage contacts, build relationships and compelling proposals
•Identify all the internal and external resources, whether human or technical, required to submit proposals successfully
•Advise on suitable strategies and objectives for achieving the sales goals
•Coordinate cross-proposal activities
•Lead and evaluate proposal team members and other project staff
•Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
•Apply change, risk and resource management
•Assume responsibility for the proposal's people and vendors
•Prepare reports for Senior Directors / Vice Presidents
•Understand contracts regarding the proposed solution / program of work
