CGI is offering an exciting opportunity as a Intermediate Support Engineer. As a Support Engineer, you will be joining an experienced and dynamic team of global IT professionals serving our clients across Canada and the world.


Tasks are varied and Include but not limited to

• Daily reconciliation processes

• Provisioning access for

o Over 150 applications

o Databases

o File shares

o Wintel and Unix servers

o Active Directory

• Resolving access issues

• Dealing with retrospective and removal Access Requests

• Managing Certifications and Access Revocation

• Application Certification- ISAE3402 Database Reviews- High Risk Application Reviews

• Movers and Line Manager Reviews

• Performing daily permission breach reports

• Resolving audit issues and maintaining evidence for regulatory audits

• Managing the Mailbox’s

• Managing Work Queues

• Maintaining team and service documentation

• Liaising with other stakeholders at all levels including VIP

• Monitor and take responsibility for resolution of support incidents in line with the SLA or OLA

• Manages and fulfills Service Requests, incidents, problems and changes

• Provide detailed analysis of system defects as and when required

• Involvement in root cause analysis and problem investigating

• Promotes and fosters good working relationships with clients and other CGI teams

• Understands and adheres to quality and security standards and processes applicable to role

• Identifies and implements service improvements

• Actively participates in all required meetings

• Seeks appropriate guidance in a timely and reasonable manner

• Practices Quality Assurance in all of their work including knowledge sharing and technical documentation.

• Makes use of commonly available resources for researching issues

• Client support activities

• Produce short reports suitable for clients


Required Skills:

• Experience in systems administration and analysis

• Experience in handling escalations and work queue management

• Experience of managing audit requirements

• Experience of Active Directory

• Running agreed business processes/jobs

• Excellent Excel skills

• Writes fundamental documentation in a clear, concise manner and according to standards.

• Proactive system monitoring/checking with follow-through on remedial actions.

• Strong troubleshooting and critical analytical skills with the capability to assess the information provided, and provide clear and appropriate direction based on this

• Ability to work closely within a team, as well as working under your own initiative

• High Level of professionalism and proven communication skills - will need to liaise with a number of different stakeholders at all levels

• Self-driven to innovate and outperform expectations

• A desire to excel in their day to day activities and through continuous improvement to processes and the service provided by the team

• Excellent knowledge of Customer Service best practice.

• Recognizes how the CGI Management Foundation is used to manage the business

• Is able to describe their client's industry at a high level, and how the project deliverables will change or impact the industry.

• Can identify how their project contributes to the overall goal(s) of their client

• Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the capability to assess the information provided, and provide clear and appropriate direction based on this.

• Excellent reporting skills, including the ability to simplify complex system configuration into a clearly defined access design model.

• Organised with a flexible approach to tasks and working hours

• Experience of IT system administration

• ITIL Knowledge

• Agile Knowledge

• Experience of Active Directory, Sail point and Service Now

• Knowledge of PowerShell

• Knowledge of SQL
