Position Description

We are a team of information technology professionals that delivers high quality software solutions for our major client. Our client is undergoing major transformation program and security is important part of this transformation program. Program involves multiplatform multi application environment. We require a Sr. IT Security Analyst to join our team to work on multiple domains implemented across Canada.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of and support for all regulatory requirements for IT and cyber security, including PCI, PII, ITIL, ISO 22301, ISO 27001:2013, CSOX, SOC II, and other controls and regulations.
• Works with third party security consultants to assess weaknesses, identify solutions, and develop and maintain strong IT Security policies.
• Works with internal IT and user teams to review and implement security policies.
• Leads projects and infrastructure efforts to manage cyber security and security compliance efforts, including
• Trains IT staff and users on new security policies and procedures.
• Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
• Installs, configures, and monitors security systems.
• Research’s new technologies that will effectively protect a network and prevents data loss and service interruptions.
• Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits under the corporate BCMS and ISMS frameworks.
• Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status. Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Installs, configures, and monitors security systems.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Change Management Processes
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
• Creates, tests and implements disaster recovery plans under the corporate BCMS.
• Performs risk assessments and testing of data processing systems.
• Leads Incident Response for security issues

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in IT Security
• One or more certifications in IT Security
• Knowledge of web technologies, operating systems and networking

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with report writing experience
• Ability to work across multiple IT teams working towards a common goal
• Adaptability in a high paced and changing IT environment
• Leadership and Critical Thinking
