Position Description

CGI is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support our Colorado Health Benefits Exchange (COHBE) client! We are working on an existing COHBE engagement, where CGI builds and deploys a new version of the enterprise system application software.

This career opportunity can also be located in Wausau, WI.

Your future duties and responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer role is for the project to migrate the existing enterprise system from CGI’s Cloud environment (in Phoenix Data Center) to AWS. There are a number of modernizations of the enterprise and how it is hosted/operates to be worked on during the migration effort to AWS. This role is looking for technical skill-sets to work on the infrastructure, DEVOPS, build and release engineer and system administration items that make up the migration/modernization efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Understanding of the private and public cloud platforms and providers, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)

• Experience managing high-performance and highly available production systems, including applications, storage and networks

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, NAT) and various virtualization technologies

• Experience configuring and maintaining secure, large-scale, complex, distributed applications or platforms

• Experience with application deployment, troubleshooting and production support

• Experience with backup/recovery, upgrades and troubleshooting of applications

• Experience monitoring platform and application performance and usage

• Experience with automation scripts and CI/CD pipeline tools, including Jenkins or Concourse

• Experience with servers (Tomcat, Weblogic) and databases (Oracle, Mongo, Postgres), as well as Bosh, Chef, Puppet, Ruby, Go, Nagios, Splunk and/or Siteminder

• Strong problem solving, verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work on challenging issues independently or in a team environment

• Ability to pair with a customers’ operations team and guide them on leading-edge technologies

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and environments

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
