Position Description

Opportunity to work in a mature SAFe agile environment supporting digital imagery acquisition and delivery. Our group is looking for an engineer specializing in development in test to work on a new team. Teams are located in Louisiana and Colorado, this team role is in Lafayette, LA.

The successful candidate will have experience within an agile environment and will enjoy working with Cypress, Protractor, Selenium or other test automation tools. Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin, and using Java and/or Python for glue code.

Ability to understand requirements and user stories and plan test scenarios based upon technical requirements, mitigating risks and overcoming issues, is a must.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Ability to understand requirements and user stories and plan test scenarios based upon technical requirements, mitigating risks and overcoming issues, is a must.

• Document test cases for 100% of all new functionality on services
• Write the high level test case code (Gherkin) and glue code (Java/Python)
• Ability to Review code created by other testers and developers
• Update and maintain apiary
• Create and execute functional and integration tests to ensure code meets user story criteria
• Present user stories for acceptance with developers
• Perform load and performance tests, look at logs and other key indicators of performance and troubleshoot for optimization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must have:
Agile/Scrum experience
2-3 years experience – Java, Python
3 years – manual test experience
2 years - Linux
1-2 years – Gherkin / Cucumber
GitHub
Test scenario planning
Bachelors and 3 to 5 + years of experience
