Position Description

CGI is looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer/Developer to join our Joint Financial Management Systems (JFMS) team. As a member of the team, you will assist with the development of new enhancements to the Momentum Financials and Acquisitions software suite, apply JFMS specific customizations, patch, and fix code defects.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Applications Development - Conversion of information from design specifications to programming code. Write specific programs by analyzing workflow charts and diagrams and applying knowledge of computer capabilities to satisfy system requirements.
• Systems Design - Analysis of a system's requirements to create a general or detailed design, system components, and a working model.
• Managing client expectations and supporting inter-organization communications.
• Providing thought leadership on potential solution, long-term strategy, and continual process improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Due to the nature of the work on this project, our Federal Government customer requires US Citizenship.
• Experience with C++ development.
• Oracle databases experience and ability to write SQL scripts.
• Proficiency with versioning software (i.e. GIT, SVN).
• Ensure adherence to CMMI level 3 certification requirements.
• Experience in Waterfall SDLC.
• Excellent analytical skills (including Object-oriented analysis and design).
• Strong client and team relationship skills; ability to professionally communicate with stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and communicate schedule, risks, and dependencies.
• Working with CGI’s Momentum Financials and Acquisitions software is desired.
