CGI Federal is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Civil division of DOJ in Washington, DC.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities as an Accounting Manager:

1. Coordinating, overseeing and ensuring the successful operation of all the tasks described above;

2. Ensuring that financial operations comply with requirements of the development of audited financial statements, working with COR and directing contract staff as necessary to ensure audit requirements are successfully addressed;

3. Consulting with the COR for each task under this contract regarding scheduling, costs, personnel assignments and recruitment, priorities and progress reports;

4. Directing all contract employees under this contract;

5. Overseeing preparations for annual financial audits;

6. Providing the lead role in overall quality assurance and internal control, including the planning and directing of quality control methods required under the contract;

7. Working with the Contracting Officer and COR to resolve contractual issues related to this statement of work; and

8. Preparing reports and documenting procedures.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Qualifications

1. A bachelor's degree with an accounting major; CPA preferred.

2. Eight (8) years managing multiple, complex accounting operations, including operations that have been subject to audited financial statements;

3. Eight (8) years experience supervising Federal financial management operations, with experience showing steady accretion of responsibilities;

4. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with various time critical activities involving various labor categories, and coordination of several major ongoing tasks;

5. Demonstrated ability to meet performance requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment;

6. Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in implementing new systems and procedures in the fact of dynamic requirements; and,

7. The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

8. U.S. Citizenship required

9. Must be able to obtain government public trust clearance.
