Position Description

CGI is looking for an experienced Software Tester for our location in beautiful downtown Wausau. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting clients throughout the country.

Your future duties and responsibilities

The Software Tester is responsible for development of test strategies, plans, scripts, and cases for multiple projects. Testing includes the following: functional, non-functional, user acceptance / government acceptance testing and integration testing.

Ensures traceability of test cases back to requirements and will manage the test execution portion of the project to include: test execution planning, test environment planning, status reporting and defect tracking.

Conducts automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers fits its purpose.

Tests and proves that the software meets major architectural requirements

Ensures the quality of the system as a whole

Communicates test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.

Coordinates work with onsite and offshore teams. Manages strong business relationships and IT peer partnerships.

Cultivates and disseminates knowledge of quality assurance best practices.

Verifies and revises quality assurance standards as needed.

Develops automation test scripts using selenium and other automation tools.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

5+ years of Software Testing Experience
Strong organizational skills and ability to balance competing priorities
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Self-motivated, and willing to take on ownership and responsibility for assignments
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Detail and results oriented
Works well under pressure, handling projects that have real-time high dependency and challenging business deadlines.
Has excellent written and oral communications skills required to determine, document and present research findings, technical papers and training material (including design documents, specifications, architectural artifacts and diagrams, presentations).
Drives the mentality of quality being owned by the entire team
5 years experience Test Case Creation / Management, Communications (Oral / Written)
