The Utility SME will incorporate the clients’ business processes / requirements using PragmaCAD/OMS to create a viable mobile solution.
SMEs are typically found among those who have been in their roles for a long enough period of time for their knowledge and skills to be “second nature". A SME should know their job well enough that they rarely have to look up information and, if they do have to, they know exactly where to find the information.
Your future duties and responsibilities
The responsibility of the Utility SME is to ensure the facts and details are correct so that the project’s/program's deliverable(s) will meet the needs of the stakeholders, standards, and best practices. To achieve this, the Utility SME will:
• Accurately represent their business units’ needs to the project/program team
• Validate the requirements and deliverables that describe the product(s) or service(s) that the project/program will produce
• Resolve issues relevant to project/program deliverable(s) within their area of expertise
• Provide recommendations that reflect best path for the client/customer based on extensive Utility experience
• Be the functional Single Point of Contact (SPOC) during ongoing projects for:
o Requirement Review/Gathering
o As Is / To Be Business process
o Detailed Design
o Enhancement Documentation
o Configuration of Software
o Project Go Live
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Utility Operations - 5 Years
• Business Analysis - 5 Years
• Requirements Gathering/Analysis - 2 Years
• Troubleshooting - 2 Years
• Ability to travel 75-90%
• Located in proximity to a CGI office
• Familiarity with Pragma Mobile Solutions and Software - 2 Years
• Process Improvement - 1 Year
• Solution Architecture - 1 Year
