Your future duties and responsibilities

CGI has completed an investigatory stage for the project and are soon to move in to the elaboration / build phase. Ahead of any build, the Business Analysis team that you would be joining are responsible for the elaboration of User Stories and holding workshops to better understand both internal and client needs, as well as ensuring that outputs are fully documented and shared. In addition, standard outputs will be produced including detailed Process Maps and Traceability / Gap Analysis.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Business Analyst with London Markets experience to work alongside our client. In this role, you will:
• Maintain a clear and robust requirements management process including Traceability and Gap Analysis
• Lead workshops with the client and /or other CGI departments to review, elaborate, validate and finalise User Stories for the delivery
• Lead workshops to deep-dive in to areas of complexity to achieve a universal understanding between CGI and the client
• Develop Process Maps to a granular level using Visio
• Bridge the gap between the Client, Business Architects, Developers, UX / UI Designers, SMEs, Third Party Suppliers, and Programme Leadership
• Help develop the skills of two Junior Business Analysts and help ensure that outputs across the team are of an extremely high standard.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

The ideal person will have demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst within the London Markets Insurance sector or will have significant experience as a Business Analyst within the General Insurance sector.

It is essential that you have experience of Agile software delivery methodology and tools / skills including SCRUM and experience of writing detailed acceptance criteria. Excellent experience of process mapping on Visio is also essential.

You must be comfortable leading virtual teams and be able to influence and direct people without direct line management responsibility, and you will have experience in organising and leading workshops focused on requirements gathering, analysis and refinement.

Strong communication and presentation skills are essential as is an ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with business stakeholders and gain trust in order to guide and influence them.

It’s also essential that you are a self-starter and can work largely independently and are also willing and able to develop Junior Business Analysts and/or provide a strategy of how you would achieve that.

An understanding of Low-Code development platforms would be a “nice to have" but is not essential.
