Brussels, March 22, 2021

During these unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to reinforce our commitment to serving as a socially responsible company. Acting responsibly for the well-being of the communities in which we live and work is a key element of our proximity model and benefits each of our stakeholders.

From Belgium, we wanted to make a difference by taking local action to support our communities. Many people need help, now more than ever in these economic circumstances. 19,2% of the Belgian population belongs to the group with a poverty risk. 18.700 is the estimated number of rough sleepers or homeless in Belgium. With the current covid-19 measures in place, some non-profit organizations are closed or offer limited support and rely on donations of essential items and funds to provide help for people in need. Also 'L'Ilot / 't Eilandje - a non-profit organization based in Brussels founded in 1960 to help homeless people and people in a very vulnerable situation.

Shoebox - A small shoebox can have a big impact

CGI Belgium engaged all their members to donate a shoebox filled with goods to provide essentials for these people in need! The boxes were donated - in safe and with covid-19 measures - to the organization in March 2021.

We thank all our members for their commitment and contribution!
