The Java Technical Lead will facilitate requirement analyses, conduct peer reviews and provide feedback, and enhance frameworks.
You will be a key member of the applications development group with the opportunity and responsibility to design and develop business solutions. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the Clients, Business System Analysts to understand detailed requirements and own your code and your team from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high quality product to our global customer base. Your design and implementation will also need to ensure security, integrity and consistency of critical user and customer data.
To be successful as a Java Technical Lead, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of industry best practices, good organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in Java technologies. Ultimately, a top-notch Java Technical Lead should have good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions, and excellent teamwork skills.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Java full stack development. Lead and provide technical direction in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of technical solutions related to enterprise applications projects.
Create technical design documents from functional requirements through analysis of business processes and discussion with the business process owners, Product Managers and Architects to design state of the art solutions.
Work in an agile environment with bright and forward-thinking developers and quality engineers.
Debug and performance tune applications.
Code review and oversight to team.
Conducting unit testing using automated unit test frameworks.
Identifying risk and conducting mitigation action planning.
Conducting configuration of your own work.
Reviewing the work of other developers and providing feedback.
Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.
Lead agile teams to deliver complex financial software products.
Mentor junior team members on best practices and design patterns.
Research new frameworks/tools/methods.
Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery
• You work with other developers, software engineers, analysts, the scrum master and the end users with a view to qualitative, user-friendly tools for the various business units.
• You communicate with your internal customers about expectations and provide regular feedback on status
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Sound knowledge of Java technologies (minimum 8 years, preferably 10).
Excellent analytical skills.
Exceptional communication skills.
Excellent team player can maintain high coding standards & can maintain them even when the pressure is on.
Ability to coach junior
Safe certification is a plus
You have an excellent level of English. Dutch of French knowledge is a plus
