CGI’s eCAM to Modernize WIA Board in Columbus and Franklin County
The Columbus and Franklin County Workforce Investment Board has signed
on as the
newest customer of CGI Group Inc.s (CGI) eCAM (Client Activity Manager)
system.
The Board will utilize the eCAM system to support the funded activities
of the federal
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program in Franklin County.
eCAM is a comprehensive Web-based client tracking and data management
software
system. The system will integrate area employers, service providers, clients
and the
Ohio Department of Job and Family services on the county level in a unified
platform
allowing real-time information sharing and services tracking. CGI will
integrate
eCAM with Franklin Countys existing information systems and assist
the
incorporation of eCAM with the states WIA reporting system, SCOTI.
What CGIs eCAM will provide Franklin County
The eCAM system will help the Columbus and Franklin County Workforce
Investment
Board with management at all levels by allowing current caseworkers to
be more
efficient in servicing their enrollees. eCAM supplies tools at each step
of the WIA
hierarchy to integrate case management, track service and payments, provide
job
matching and job placement, service the Individual Training Accounts,
assist with
Workforce Investment Act Standard Record Data (WIASRD) production, and
execute
real-time Department of Labor performance reporting.
CGI domain expertise
CGIs Human Capital practice is one of the most advanced of
its kind in the country. It
has provided workforce management and consulting services in major counties
throughout Ohio, as well as other states, and through alliances with non-profit
agencies.
What makes eCAM a superior and unique tool in the marketplace is that
CGIs human
capital and technology experts developed it specifically to improve administrative
management and services processes for government programs.
Especially in todays economic environment, eCAM delivers
value. Agencies face
the challenge to serve more clients with diverse needs across more service
settings
while increasing accountability throughout the service continuum,
said Michael
Ashbrook, eCAM project manager, CGI. eCAM helps them meet the challenge.
