PAUL BIRON - Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Technologies & Infrastructure
Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Paul Biron joined CGI in 1997 and is currently Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Technologies & Infrastructure, a Business Unit responsible for delivering infrastructure services to CGI clients in Canada and in United States. His previous functions involved the management of services to BCE, one of CGI’s major clients, as well as managing the integration of CGI’s two largest acquisitions, Cognicase in 2003 and American Management Systems (AMS) in 2004.
Prior to joining CGI, Mr. Biron held several senior-level positions within leading edge companies. He was Vice-President and Chief Information Officer with both Provigo and Vidéotron Limitée. He began his career at IBM where he held several positions over a period of 12 years from Systems Engineer to Marketing Manager.
Mr. Biron has been active in several business associations including the Quebec Order of Engineers and has sat on a few boards of directors including the EDI Council of Canada.
Mr. Biron holds a Bachelors of Applied Sciences, Electrical Engineering (co-op program) from the Université de Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
