High-Value Data Set Platform

The need to collect, exchange and analyze large amounts of data - about health records, environmental measurements, and stimulus spending, for example - is transforming the way government works, especially in light of the Open Government Directive. And in the future, agencies will rely even more on information exchange as a means of accomplishing America's business.

CGI helps clients collect, package and distribute data across data ownership silos through implementation of our High-Value Data Set Platform. Our platform is modeled after the approach used by the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Central Data Exchange to collect and share environmental data among states, localities, tribes and EPA.

Built on open source technology, the platform provides a simple, flexible architecture to help agencies efficiently collect data and subsequently package and publish high-value data sets. Agencies can choose to implement the solution at their site or as a platform-as-a-service hosted onshore in the United States at CGI facilities that are fully compliant with federal IT security standards.

Our approach enables controlled and secure capture, reorganization and distribution in a reusable format of disparate data from across the enterprise for manipulation, analysis, and publication. It also provides clients real-time access to high-quality data while saving time, resources and money.
