CGI's Tapestry in Action

Vodafone ARCOR

Germany's largest private fixed network operator was CGI's first Tapestry customer. Tapestry enables ARCOR to compete aggressively in the $90 billion+ German telecommunications market, the third largest in the world. ARCOR provides wire line and IP services to its customers, with billing and customer care provided by Tapestry. System users have the option of English or German language interfaces just as ARCOR's customers may choose either English or German bills. Full Euro support is provided. At ARCOR, Tapestry runs on HP-UX and Oracle DBMS integrated with SAP for enterprise resource planning, ASAP for service activation from Nortel/Architel, and Remedy for trouble reporting. As ARCOR continues its growth, both new customers and newly acquired markets are being added to Tapestry.

BellSouth Long Distance (BSLD)

BellSouth Long Distance (BSLD) deployed Tapestry to support complex business billing and customer care for its affiliates. This deployment marks the most recent milestone in CGI's long-term relationship with BSLD. BSLD took advantage of Tapestry's modular architecture to execute a phased deployment and meet the most critical business needs.

North American Fortune 100 Company

Tapestry has been deployed at a North American Fortune 100 Company to provide high-volume, multi-service billing and customer care in the wholesale market. CGI's Tapestry solution is making it possible for the customer to more quickly launch new products and services and to change rates and pricing rapidly without overhauling its billing system - resulting in faster time-to-market and increased customer responsiveness. Tapestry's multi-service billing capability enables the company to support the complex and diverse requirements of customers in multiple jurisdictions as well as to quickly ramp up for additional customer segments and products.
