Executive Update
Vice President of CGI’s AMS Advantage Program

There are many ways of getting where we want to go, if we really want to go. It is something I have been thinking about over the past few months as I have met with the many individuals and teams who comprise CGI’s AMS Advantage® Program.
The individuals are dedicated experts in their products and practices and willing to learn and grow. The teams are collaborative and creative about ideas for improving. Together they have the strength and perseverance to win.
In the last Insights newsletter, I talked about my goal to continue to strengthen the Program by analyzing the marketplace, listening to our client partners and formulating and executing a plan aimed at growing the AMS Advantage client community.
I am pleased to report that in this short time, we are already making progress. Looking at the marketplace, we believe we are the only built-for-government ERP solution available to state and local governments. This is echoed when we talk to our clients and listen to what they have to say.
For example, the Los Angeles County, California Department of Public Works came to the same conclusion during their competitive procurement, and they shared the importance of true fund accounting with us in this month’s issue. Meanwhile, at Wake County, North Carolina, it is modern technology and the power of full integration for finance, procurement, budgeting, human resource management, payroll and business intelligence that is making a difference.
This is one reason why new organizations continue to choose CGI and AMS Advantage. It is also about how we continue to grow our service offerings to meet the evolving needs of our clients, for example Managed Advantage and Automated Testing Services for streamlining upgrades and implementations.
At the same time, CGI’s commitment to the AMS Advantage client community is as strong as ever. For example, the recent User Group Steering Committee elections that have determined who will help CGI finalize enhancement plans for Release 3.9 due out in June 2011. Congratulations to the new members!
I am pleased to announce the return of CGI Forum Online. May 2011, the AMS Advantage client community will once again have the access to information and experts they demand without impacting precious budget dollars. Please stay tuned for more information! We are also considering a return to an onsite Forum for 2012!
It has been a busy season for successful client go-live projects. For example, Monterey County, CA and Wake County, NC completed their implementation of AMS Advantage Human Resource Management and City of Midland, TX completed their implementation of Vendor Self Service.
Finally, our commitment to you to strengthen the Program remains; we will continue to establish new relationships, promote awareness of CGI and the built-for-government AMS Advantage ERP solution throughout the marketplace and grow the AMS Advantage client community.
Wherever you are and whatever you celebrate in the coming weeks, I hope your holidays are filled with peace, joy and prosperity.
Thank you for your continued support,
Daniel Keene
