Meet the members of CGI's management
S. Chandramouli - Senior Vice President and Managing Director, India
S. Chandramouli (“Chandra”) is the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for CGI India. He has overall management responsibility for the operations of the CGI Global Delivery Centers in India (IGDC) located in Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad, which service a broad set of clients from all geographies, including Canada, the U.S. and Europe, and covers the full spectrum of CGI client industries such as financial services, communications, utilities and manufacturing.
Chandra has worked with the company for almost 25 years starting with CGI [then American Management Systems (AMS)] in 1980. He left AMS in 1998 to join Deloitte, where he served as a partner in the telecommunications and public sector practices, until he rejoined the company in 2004. Prior to his current CGI India responsibilities, Chandra held a variety of management responsibilities with AMS and CGI as a regional and industry leader.
Chandra is also a member of CGI's Global Operations Group. In this capacity, he represents CGI’s operations in India and participates in the ongoing management of CGI’s operations worldwide.
Chandra's CGI and Deloitte experiences extend equally across both the public and private sectors. In the public sector, he provided consulting services for U.S. state and local governments and for government agencies in Canada and Ecuador. In the private sector, Chandra spent several years consulting with oil and gas companies on IT transformation projects in both Houston and Mumbai. He also worked with leading companies in the telecommunications and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining AMS and CGI, Chandra served as a consultant to the World Bank in Washington, D.C.
He holds post-graduate management degrees from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago. He is also certified as a CPA by the State of Illinois and is a member of AICPA and the Illinois Association of CPAs.
