Donna Ryan

DONNA RYAN - President, CGI Federal

Donna Ryan was appointed President, CGI Federal, a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group, Inc., in 2011. Previously, Ms. Ryan was a Senior Vice-President with operational responsibility for leading CGI’s business with clients in the Civilian Sector of the U.S. Federal Government.

As President of CGI’s Federal operations, Ms. Ryan is responsible for leading CGI’s strategy, growth, and client delivery across the Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Sectors of the U.S. Federal Government. As a member of CGI’s Management Committee, Ms. Ryan also participates in the development and execution of CGI’s global strategy.

Prior to her appointment as President, Ms. Ryan was responsible for the company’s delivery of services to federal civilian clients in support of their mission-critical programs. Her responsibilities included business strategy and planning, system implementation/integration services, hosting services, customer relationship management, business process services, and CGI’s ERP (Momentum®) product program. Clients she has supported for the deployment of software and hosting services include the Department of State, General Services Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. Examples of the successful delivery of mission-critical programs under her leadership include web-based initiatives at the Centers for Medicaid Services and the Central Data Exchange program at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Before joining CGI, Donna was a Vice President with American Management Systems, Inc. (AMS) where she held various management and consulting positions serving government organizations around the globe.

As part of the senior leadership team, Ms. Ryan played an integral role in leading CGI Federal to be named the 2010 Greater Washington U.S. Government Contractor of the Year (greater than $300 million) by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Services Council, and Washington Technology. CGI has also been named one of the “9 Hot Companies to Watch” by Federal Computer Week and the company’s acquisition of Stanley, Inc., was selected as “deal of the year” by Washington Technology and the Association for Corporate Growth National Capital.

Ms. Ryan is a graduate of Queen’s University, Canada, holding both a Bachelors of Arts degree and a High School Teachers Certificate. She also received a Certificate in computer programming from the Cambridge Institute in Boston, MA.
