Meet the members of CGI's management

Alain Bouchard - Senior Vice-President, Quebec City

A CGI member since 1988, Alain Bouchard serves as senior vice-president, leading CGI's Quebec City business unit.

As part of his role, he is responsible for a team of 1,100 professionals based in Quebec City and delivering CGI services to local, national and international clients.

Alain is an experienced leader of large teams and projects in software development, as well as in application management and IT infrastructure operations. He overseas all aspects of the Quebec City business unit, including business development, service delivery, human resources, and operations.

Between 2004 and 2010, Alain led Quebec City's Global Delivery Center.  This center provides application management and software development   services to North American and European clients. In this role, Alain led many large, strategic projects, as well as the work of numerous project managers. 

Alain is a member of many executive and steering committees at CGI.  He has been closely involved in the successful setup of many application management teams for many large CGI clients. 

Between 1990 and 1998, Alain served as a communications and electronics engineering officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.

He graduated with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Royal Military College of Canada in 1990.

Since 2011, Alain has served on the board of directors for TechnoCompétences, a sector committee for the information and communications technology workforce in Quebec.
