Autoplus
CGI's Autoplus is Canada's largest database of automobile policy and claims information containing 40 million policy records and 30 million claims spanning more than 15 years. The Autoplus  service allows insurers access to detailed and up-to-date personal automobile claims and policy information. This service can be quickly and easily accessed using the Internet, Web services, API or a host-host connection-the choice is up to you.

 

Motor Vehicle Records
CGI's Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) solution supplies three years of driving records and histories. Through its distribution relationships with governments in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, CGI processes nearly 5 million MVRs annually, making us the leading supplier of MVRs to the Canadian P&C industry.

 

MVR Predictor

The Canadian P&C industry spends nearly $40M on MVRs each year. CGI's MVR Predictor helps dramatically expenditure. A statistically sound tool that capitalizes on the predictive nature of claims history, MVR opportunity to lower MVR expenditures by reducing the number of MVRs purchased.

 

Driver Performance Record (DPR)
DPR was developed by the MTO to provide a cost-effective report for insurers evaluating Ontario risks at renewal. It offers a one-year snapshot that contains the same categories of information as the traditional three-year MVR report. It is particularly useful for renewals following a claim, renewals following a prior MVR review or upon adoption of a portfolio of business. Pricing for this service depends upon the information contained in the DPR. Cost is nominal if the record is clean. With increased focus on aggressive portfolio and renewal underwriting, this service delivers excellent value when compared to traditional renewal MVR programs. 

 

Police Reports
CGI's Police Report Ordering System (PROS) is an investigation tool that streamlines the process of requesting police reports for quicker claims resolution, which helps significantly reduce settlement costs.

 

Plate Search
CGI's Plate Search service allows clients to retrieve registered owner and vehicle information using only the license plate number. This service is a cost-effective tool that is helpful in adjusting third-party claims.

 

Claim Check
Claim Check automatically alerts your automobile claims team of fraud indicators. The innovative solution allows you to set predetermined, time-sensitive fraud indicators at any level-policy, claimant, industry-and once these indicators are set, they are used to evaluate every automobile claim you process. Once Claim Check detects a claim that has enough fraud indicators to warrant a review, it notifies your claims team and prompts them to review the claim for possible fraud. VIN Claims Gold
Similar to Autoplus, CGI's VIN Claims Gold service provides policy and claims information pertaining to a specific vehicle, rather than to an individual. Developed in conjunction with SIU staff from several insurers and the investigative services division of the IBC, this service benefits claims personnel as well as underwriters, as it allows formerly "used" vehicles to be checked before they are added to an existing policy. The risk of fraud is minimized because claims and policy history can be analyzed by VIN over the lifetime of the vehicle regardless of owner or insurer.

 

VINLink Plus
CGI's VINLink Plus minimizes the time-consuming process of manually identifying vehicle codes and allows you to classify automobiles and motorcycles quickly and accurately.

 

VINCheck Branding Service
CGI's VINCheck Branding Service allows access to vehicle branding information from 26 registry and police service databases spanning all Canadian provinces and territories. This service allows insurers to do a thorough background check on all vehicles to determine if a vehicle is branded stolen, salvaged, unfit for the road or non-repairable. This service also identifies if a unique VIN is simultaneously registered in multiple provinces-a definite red flag for "cloned" vehicle automobile theft. Underwriters can prevent vehicles with undesirable brand status from becoming part of their book of business by querying VINCheck when adding or substituting vehicles from out of province or a U.S. state.
