Meet our leaders

S. Chandramouli (Chandra), Senior Vice President and India BU Leader

Chandra serves as Senior Vice President of CGI’s operations in India. His experience extends across both the public and private sectors. In the public sector, Chandra has provided consulting services for local, state and federal governments including the governments of Canada and Ecuador. In the private sector, he spent several years consulting for oil and gas companies on IT transformation. He has also worked within the telecommunications and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining CGI, he served as a consultant to the World Bank in Washington, DC. Chandra holds post-graduate management degrees from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India and an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago. He is also certified as a CPA by the State of Illinois and is a member of AICPA and the Illinois Association of CPAs.

Pradipta K Banerjee, Vice President – Human Resources

Pradipta Banerjee is Vice President of Human Resources for CGI in India and is responsible for shaping the “people practices” vision, which has been instrumental in CGI’s growth and success. He is a member of the executive management team of CGI’s India operations and oversees all strategic and operational initiatives. Pradipta is a member of the HR and training counsel at Bangalore Chamber of Industries and Commerce and is the chapter chairman for the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC). A frequent guest speaker at multiple global seminars and conferences, Pradipta is an established thought leader within the human resources industry. He holds a bachelor degree in engineering from Bangalore University.

George Mattackal – Vice President, Communications, Media and Entertainment

George Mattackal heads CGI’s offshore communications, media and entertainment delivery group in India. He manages a large portfolio of client delivery work and has played an integral role in building CGI’s offshore capability, which he has grown from 180 members in 2009 to a current strength of 1,700. With more than 22 years of experience within the information technology industry, George has a wide range of experience in the global delivery of projects and services and in account management. He began his career with American Management Systems (AMS) in the United States where he held a variety of roles related to systems development in the areas of oil and gas financial systems, telecom billing and customer care. George has deep experience in every area of the systems development lifecycle, from the concept stage through to implementation and support. After spending 17 years working in the U.S., he moved to India in 2009 to lead CGI’s offshore capability in the communications domain. George has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Houston and an MBA in information systems management from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Binu Vijayasankar – Vice President, Consulting Services

Binu is responsible for all offshore work across the Philippines, Malaysia and India. Prior to this, he served as the offshore delivery executive for application services to telecommunication companies. Binu has played multiple delivery and organizational roles within CGI, including leading all the technology practices in India and creating new practices in enterprise mobility, modernization and ecommerce. Binu joined CGI in 2005 from E5 Systems (erstwhile Orbit-e Consulting) where he was responsible for establishing offshore delivery centers in China and in India for multiple clients. Prior to E5, he was with Cambridge Technology Partners working on technology consulting engagements in capacities varying from program manager to architect in the capital markets space across North America and India. With nearly 20 years of experience across the U.S., Canada, Europe, China and India, Binu has deep experience in multisite software delivery, IT strategy and implementation and a demonstrated ability to build and retain peak-performing teams. Binu is a mechanical engineering graduate from REC Calicut and also holds a diploma in advanced computing from CDAC Pune.

Himadri GuptaVice President, Finance

Himadri Gupta is responsible for the finance, legal and statutory compliance and facilities and administration functions for CGI in India. Prior to joining CGI, Himadri worked with TSI Ventures as director of finance. Himadri has over 29 years of corporate finance/accounting and management experience with expertise in systems development, financial management, budgeting, MIS reporting, treasury operations, ERP implementation and direct and indirect taxation. Himadri joined CGI in 2006 and has been instrumental in the growth and progress of the company. Prior to CGI, Himadri served in finance leadership roles in large organizations such as Tishman Speyer USA, Microland, Titan Industries and General Electric Co. (now Alstom). Himadri is a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a bachelor’s degree in science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Sridhar Ramamurthy – Vice President, Global Infrastructure Services (GIS)

Sridhar Ramamurthy leads CGI’s global infrastructure services in India. He collaborates closely with CGI’s business units to help drive value excellence and maintain client satisfaction. Sridhar has over 28 years of IT experience spanning IT management and application delivery and management. A CGI veteran of over 15 years, he previously led the managed application support (MAS) delivery organization for all communications, media and entertainment accounts in India, served as director of client services and delivery in India, and was responsible for providing support to North American business units for opportunities involving offshore delivery. Prior to joining CGI, Sridhar held various leadership positions in India and abroad, working for reputed organizations. In the IT industry for 27 years, Sridhar has numerous management, technical and interpersonal skills as well as software project management, people management and organizational planning experience. He is an active member of the Computer Society of India and was Coimbatore chapter’s secretary from 1992-94. He was also an active member of NASSCOM from 1995-97. Sridhar holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering.

Ramanarayanan SrinivasanVice President, Enterprise & Shared Services (E&SS)

Ramnarayanan (Ram) is the group lead for E&SS in India, which covers ERP offerings, including SAP, Oracle and MS Dynamics; enterprise IT delivery for CGI’s internal applications; Remedy ITSM; shared services delivery; and the testing centre of excellence. Ram joined CGI from Logica, where he held the post of service delivery head for the application management group. With 29 years of experience within the IT industry, Ram has held several leadership roles within Infosys, Calleo Consolidated Technologies and DSQ Software. Prior to the IT industry, Ram was a scientist at the Indian Space Research Organization in Bangalore. Ram has a master’s degree in physics and has taken several proficiency courses in computer science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Ranjan Majumdar – Chief Productivity Officer, India

Ranjan is responsible for product development, maintenance, implementation and customer support. He collaborates closely with global teams and clients to drive solution strategies and maintain client satisfaction. Ranjan's background is in financial and general management and consultancy, and he has more than 23 years of experience working across a range of industries in Europe and Asia. Prior to CGI through Logica, Ranjan was with ATOS, where he was CFO of their global application management and system integration businesses, which involved 12,000 people worldwide. He also was responsible for global delivery centers in South Asia, India, Europe, Russia and Latin America. Prior to this, Ranjan worked for Siemens, first as head of finance for their public telecommunications R&D operations, then as CFO for their BPO business, and finally as CFO for their global AM business. Ranjan has a bachelor of technology in computer science and engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Rakesh Aerath – Vice President, Application Services

Rakesh Aerath is responsible for the delivery of application services for our clients in multiple large industry sectors including manufacturing, retail and distribution (MRD), energy and utilities, government and health. In this role, he is responsible for overall P&L management, excellence in delivery, business growth and client/member satisfaction. He is a professional business leader with 20 years of experience in account / delivery management, innovation, business development, operations and staff management. As part of the CGI management team in India, he plays a key role in defining and driving strategy for CGI’s India business. Over the years, Rakesh has held various leadership positions in global finance and telecom companies. He also has vast experience in working closely with global clients and partners. Rakesh holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA in finance from leading institutes in India.

Sudhir Subbaraman – Vice President of Consulting Services and Head of Solutions / Products

Sudhir Subbaraman is the business head of CGI’s products and solutions group in India. In this role, he is responsible for revenue growth, governance, delivery, strategy and operations. The solutions group supports more than 55 CGI solutions across the U.S., Canada, Europe and APAC geographies. Sudhir is also responsible for driving innovation across CGI’s operations in India and overseeing the Banking Center of Excellence. He actively drives initiatives with NASSCOM and several Indian Government bodies on various initiatives around policies and other opportunities. Prior to joining CGI, Sudhir worked with Revenue Solutions Inc (RSI) where he was the program manager for a multi-million dollar account managing teams across South Carolina and California on a benefits-funded model. He has a strong track record of producing business results throughout his career, which spans 17 years. Sudhir is a mechanical engineer from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal (formerly known as REC, Warangal). He also holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Mississippi State University and an MBA with highest honors from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business specializing in Strategy and Finance.

Vijay Kumar RVice President, Operations and Business Process Services

Vijay Kumar R leads key operational functions, such as workforce management and quality assurance, and leads the business process services business for CGI’s operations in India. Vijay joined CGI through Logica, where he led the growth of the Chennai development center, growing it to more than 2,000 members. Vijay has rich experience in service delivery, lean six sigma-based quality improvement programs, and in the management of large accounts. He has worked closely with large clients in the process and discrete manufacturing, hi-tech and leasing industries across North America and Europe. Prior to Logica, Vijay was vice president and global operations leader at Genpact where he was responsible for P&L, client engagement and delivery for key strategic accounts spread across centers in India, China, Europe and Mexico. Vijay holds an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, as well as an engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal.
