EIGHT STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS GO INTO PRODUCTION WITH CGI’S BUILT-FOR-GOVERNMENT AMS ADVANTAGE ERP SOLUTION

Fairfax, Virginia, August 7, 2007 -

CGI Group Inc. (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB) announced today that eight state and local government organizations have successfully completed their implementation of CGI’s web-based AMSAdvantage® ERP solution this summer. These organizations include City and County of Honolulu (HI), City of Norfolk (VA), Baltimore County (MD), Ocean County (NJ), State of Maine, Oakland Intermediate School District (MI), and a California county and Western state.

These eight clients join a large community of state and local government organizations that have adopted the web-based AMS Advantage solution to transform operations, increasing efficiency and accountability, improving management and management reporting, and reducing total cost of ownership. “It is a diverse community,” said Michael Keating, Senior Vice-President, US State and Local Government, and Western US Operations of CGI Group Inc. “The fact that AMS Advantage is used by so many different state and local governments—each with their own unique set of business challenges—demonstrates that our software is easily configured to meet the needs of individual public sector organizations, which reduces customizations and the associated cost of maintenance.”

In addition to the software, CGI offers end-to-end services to partner with clients to ensure that they achieve a more rapid and lower risk ERP implementation. “When it comes to the success of their projects,” said Heidi Green, Vice-President, CGI State and Local Solutions Group, “state and local organizations know there is no substitute for experience. This milestone clearly demonstrates CGI’s experience in successfully implementing ERP for governments of all size, scope and complexity.”

Since the 1970s, state and local governments have relied on the built-for-government AMS Advantage solution as the cornerstone of their ERP operations—a solution that continuously evolves to best meet government needs and adapt to the latest technological advances. This reliance and evolution has resulted in 50 public sector organizations—including 8 states, the largest U.S. county and two of the largest U.S. cities—that have moved to the latest web-based AMS Advantage solution. From cities, counties, states, schools and universities, AMS Advantage has helped over 190 public sector clients achieve the highest level of accountability while enhancing services to their constituents.
