CGI is pleased to have received the following designations in recognition of putting into practice our corporate social responsibilities.
CGI is pleased to be recognized as a Corporate Champion Award recipient for our support of the American Cancer Society's (ACS) mission and events to support cancer research and improve quality of life for cancer patients. (Read the ACS press release.)
CGI is pleased to receive the American Heart Association's (AHA) Fit-Friendly Company Gold level designation for 11 of our U.S. office locations. CGI is a recipient of the 2010 CiCi Awards – Community Impact Top 15 by Trade & Industry Development for the establishment of CGI's Troy, Alabama, Center of Excellence. The award celebrates economic development projects that have a positive effect on the quality of life for the citizens who inhabit the regions in which the developments are located. CGI has earned chain of custody certification from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) for its Quebec-based document management centers. This certification allows CGI clients to demonstrate that they promote sustainable business practices to their customers, and furthers CGI's own commitment of contributing to an improved environment. CGI is pleased to be a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series, which measures the performance of companies that meet globally-recognized corporate responsibility standards and facilitates investment in those companies.
CGI's members in the United Kingdom have committed to payroll giving to support charities. With 73% of members participating, CGI was awarded the Gold Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award 2011.
Operated by the Institute of Fundraising and funded by HM Government, the award recognises businesses that foster a culture of committed giving in the workplace.

The Thanks a Million award is dedicated to those organizations that, through corporate generosity and the combined efforts of their employees, contribute $1,000,000 or more to United Ways – Centraides across the country. CGI has been a recipient of this award every year since 2005.
CGI is a proud partner of the Leave for Change® program run by Uniterra, an international non-profit focused on mobilizing volunteers to fight world poverty. This program enables CGI members to serve as international volunteers in developing countries for two to three weeks. Members are sponsored by CGI, which allows them to take leave and cover part of the costs involved.
