Government payment services

In the U.S. government sector, we annually process $2.3 billion in public housing subsidies to landlords in six jurisdictions, including some of the most populous states in the U.S. Our payment services include contact center operations, payment reconciliation and processing, and auditing. We also support government and disaster relief agencies providing citizens with claims advice, registration and compliant payment services. Financial sector payment services

In the financial services industry, we serve more than one million credit card customers in the Nordic countries, providing end-to-end payment services that cover application handling, collection and fraud management, and contact center operations. We annually manage close to 90 million transactions with a value of more than 27 billion SEK (USD $4 billion+). Our solutions cover loyalty/bonus cards, fuel cards and international cards like Visa and MasterCard.

CGI provides a hosted “bank-in-a-box” solution to multiple credit unions in Canada. While transactions are input by our clients’ staff, we provide a business process helpdesk to advise clients on the on-going alignment of their processes to the “bank-in-a-box” solution.

In addition, we have recently developed a business platform for mandate management to help banks and corporations comply with new regulations for interbank transactions within Europe (the single European payments area).

Oil and gas payment services

In the oil and gas industry, we run the business platforms and processes that support the fuel card operations of major fuel retailers, such as Shell. These operations are valued at €20 billion (USD $26 billion+) annually.

Health sector payment services

We process and disburse incentives from government to providers to encourage greater and more meaningful use of e-commerce electronic health records. On behalf of healthcare insurers, we audit insurance claims, using our proprietary analysis tools, with over $1.1 billion recovered to date against improper claims.

Utilities payment services

We manage the auction and settlement processes for generators and distributors in the UK wholesale electricity and gas market, a service CGI has provided for more than 12 years. This service won the UK National Outsourcing Association’s BPS Contract of the Year in 2012. We also operate the international carbon trading registry for the United Nations in support of the Kyoto protocol. We also provide operational support to banks and wholesale markets globally.
