New enhancements are included in each CGI Advantage release providing more functionality to support essential HRM and Payroll business processes by making the solution more powerful, flexible, and user friendly. CGI will present the product roadmap and discuss the selection process for new enhancements during this session. Attendees will be briefed on how to submit their own enhancement requests via the CGI Advantage Support Center. Presenters will also cover key enhancements scheduled for release 3.11 of CGI Advantage HRM, Employee Self Service, and Manager Self Service, in addition to sharing a preview of enhancements under consideration for release 3.12 and beyond. Attendees will have the opportunity to give input on areas for future investment.

CGI Advantage HRM release 3.10 includes a broad range of new features and functions supporting multiple business processes. This session will include the demonstration of specific new features and the general approach for how sites should implement them. Presenters will demonstrate how the new features work and how they eliminate past limitations and increase usability. Additionally, new ESS features have already been targeted for release 3.11 and will be discussed to explain how they will expand upon the capabilities of release 3.10.

CGI Advantage Manager Self Service (MSS) was introduced in release 3.9 and release 3.10 includes a broad range of new capabilities. This session will include the demonstration of specific release 3.10 features and the general approach for how sites should implement them. Strategic enhancements have been made to the MSS application to increase the depth of functionality for key business processes. These enhancements include enhanced navigation and workflow administration, overtime and leave requests for time and leave management, support for incident and performance management, and mobile approvals. Additionally, potential MSS features that could be targeted for future releases will be explored to assess how they might expand upon the existing capabilities of the application and increase the benefits provided to employee supervisors.

Release 3.10 of CGI Advantage HRM, ESS, and MSS includes new performance management features that considerably expand previous capabilities. These features allow sites to track more information in the system than ever before and provide the ability for all CGI Advantage components to be involved in the employee evaluation process. This session will include a comprehensive end-to-end employee evaluation demonstration including all three CGI Advantage modules and the general approach for how sites should implement the new functionality. Strategic enhancements that will be covered include the ability to set ratings and expectations for multiple levels of an organization that can be included on a new Employee Expectations document, which can then be included in a redesigned Employee Evaluation document that can be routed to a manager for approval and sign-off by an employee. By attending this session, CGI Advantage users will get exposure to all three modules focused on one coordinated business process.

CGI Advantage HRM provides multiple ways of automatically calculating FLSA and other types of site defined overtime. By utilizing these automated methods, sites can eliminate manual entry of overtime codes by employees and time and attendance staff to streamline business processes. This session will include a presentation of how to configure FLSA and client compensation overtime. Additionally, generating overtime using automated pay criteria will be covered. Presenters will demonstrate how to generate an overtime calculation and will cover the impact of calculating overtime for employees with multiple rates of pay and multiple appointments.

This session will focus on CGI Advantage HRM specific security features, including HRDOC and its major components, changing user access options, generating notifications to security administration staff via personnel action processing, implementing activity folder tab based security, and masking social security numbers. Presenters will discuss the features and how to implement them, and demonstrate essential security functions from the perspective of a system end user. The session is not intended to be focused on general system security training.

Typically CGI Advantage workflow is considered a system administration function that applies to both CGI Advantage Financial and CGI Advantage HRM. However, there are aspects to workflow administration that are unique to HRM, like the Supervisor worklist.  There are other features like the send page document function and setting workflow generated notifications for non-approver and additional roles that can be utilized in slightly different ways in HRM. Presenters will discuss the features and how to implement them and demonstrate essential workflow functions from the perspective of a system end user.  This session is not intended to be focused on general workflow configuration training.
