CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Heather Munroe-Blum and Timothy J. Hearn.

Heather Munroe-Blum has more than 25 years of senior management experience concentrated in higher education, public policy, and research and development. She has served on the boards of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Alcan, the Canada Forum of Rio Tinto Alcan, Yellow Media Inc., and Hydro One (Ontario), among others. Dr. Munroe-Blum served for more than a decade as McGill’s Principal (President) and Vice-Chancellor (2003–2013). She is currently a director of the Royal Bank of Canada, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, the Trilateral Commission, the C.D. Howe Institute and the Gairdner Foundation.

Timothy J. Hearn has more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. In the course of his career, he has held executive leadership positions in Canada and abroad. He is a past Chairman and an honorary director of the C.D. Howe Institute, a former director of the Royal Bank of Canada and a former member of the Joint Public Advisory Committee (JPAC) of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC). He was, until March 2008, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Oil Limited. Mr. Hearn is Chairman of the consulting, investment management, and philanthropic organization Hearn & Associates. He is also a director of ARC Resources Ltd.
