CGI Hires Billy Mays, Global Expert in Energy Management, Sustainability and High-Performance Buildings

 CGI Federal Inc. (CGI), a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A), announced today the hiring of Billy Mays, a global energy management, sustainability, and high-performance buildings expert, as a Director on CGI’s General Services Administration (GSA) account.

At CGI, Mr. Mays will help deliver technology-driven energy management solutions that enable clients to increase efficiency, generate savings, and promote long-term sustainability initiatives. Mr. Mays has 20 years of experience in corporate real estate, design/build construction, and real estate development in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. Most recently, he led the creation of a new division for the Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) to provide integrated energy and sustainability solutions to federal, state and local clients.

Prior to IBTS, Mr. Mays co-led the establishment of an energy and sustainability practice for BAE Systems which focused on IT/technology based solutions for large portfolio real estate performance optimization and energy efficiency initiatives. He previously managed business development efforts for Lockheed Martin IT at the Department of Energy’s Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington State.

Mr. Mays is a U.S. Green Building Council accredited LEED Green Associate. He recently completed a nationwide lecture circuit for Realcomm titled, “Energy Efficiency and the Role of Building Intelligence.” He also speaks frequently about high-performance facilities and intelligent buildings providing the best means for achieving radical greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
