CGI announces US$49 million contract ceiling increase supporting the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic
Increased Scope Covers Continued Systems and Production Integration Services
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, has issued CGI Federal Inc. (CGI), a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc. (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A), a US$49 million contract modification for a ceiling increase on its indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) Mission Module Integration contract through September 2012. SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic is one of three US Department of Navy major acquisition commands, chartered with acquiring, installing, delivering and maintaining advanced information technology capabilities to the fleet.
Under the contract modification, CGI will continue to provide production execution, testing, and technical support for U.S. military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) mission modules. The mission modules are single components or integrated systems platforms that are installed at military locations ashore, aboard ships or on tactical vehicles. Work is performed in Charleston, S.C., and Norfolk, Va.
