Originations, Gateways and Decision Management

For our originations, gateways and decision management clients we will be sending a survey out to you in July to solicit input on webcast topics, amongst other items. Based on your feedback we will conduct webcasts targeted to your needs throughout the remainder of the year.

Executive Product Council (EPC) meetings will be held in September, to discuss product roadmaps as well as current and upcoming releases. Based on your feedback and discussions during the EPC meeting in September, webcast topics will be scheduled starting in October

Collections

A series of Collections product webcasts were held on June 3-4, 2009.  Please contact banking.solutions@cgi.com to request a recording of one or more sessions. The topics covered, include:

  • Upgrading from 7.x to the current release – it's not as scary as you think!
A lot has happened to CACS over the last several major development releases (8.x.x to 8.2). We will spend time talking about what has changed architecturally within the system. We will cover the conversion view point from not only data, but also the business impacts.

  • The advantages of parallel processing in CACS DB2
With batch windows shrinking due to collection portfolios increasing in volume, the Parallel Processing feature within the DB2 version of CACS can aide you in shortening your batch window and meeting your collection center's SLA for having the system up and ready. In this session we will cover how this feature was architected within CACS and how you go about implementing it.

  • New Skip Trace Functionality and Interfacing
The CACS interface for Skip Tracing support has been reengineered to provide expanded data access to a very broad spectrum of data available from LexisNexis. This session will provide an overview of the types of data that can be requested, the request and response process, and how the data can be used in your collections environment.

  • External System Access (The Hotkey Hyperlink Framework)
Come hear about the Hotkey/Hyperlink Framework which allows new buttons or menu items to be configured to provide access to external applications. The framework reduces the need for invasive baseline code enhancements and isolates any new code. New buttons can be secured via the User Profile. In addition parameters can be passed in the hotkey/hyperlink to customize the data presented when the button/link is clicked.

  • Leveraging Web Channels to Maximize Collections while Minimizing Expenses
With delinquencies continuing to rise and resource intensive default processes straining the capacity of collections centers, collections management is looking for innovative ways to effectively divert collections traffic. As a result of steadily rising consumer internet banking adoption and familiarity, the web is quickly becoming a valuable tool for customer self-service in the collections industry. Spend some time exploring CGI's Web Promises and new Web Portal solutions specifically designed to help maximize collections channels, respond to customer preferences and reduce the cost to collect.

  • Practical Application of Event Schedules
Explore the new Event Schedule capabilities in CACS 8.2 including:
    • Overdue Activity Secondary State Add,
    • Time based Secondary State Add,
    • Checklist Items,
    • Roll-Over Event Schedule, and
    • Retention of completed Event Schedules
Review some examples of how the Event Schedules can be used to support specialized collections processes.

  • Collections Diagnostic
You don't need to read the headlines to know that the world's economy faces challenging times. Tougher times demand smarter solutions. It's imperative to confirm that your business processes are as efficient as possible, and that your collections, recovery and risk management strategies, systems and policy are positioned for maximum effectiveness. During this session, we will discuss how the Collections Diagnostic, designed to quickly identify areas for improvement and devise an actionable plan, will help you quickly improve your financial position.
